EU Organic logo – 10 years on

On July 1, 2010 the European Commission introduced the EU organic logo.

Apart from giving a familiar visual identity to organic products produced within the European Union, the logo actually makes it easier for consumers to identify organic products and helps farmers to market their produce across all of the European Union.

The logo can only be used on products that have been certified as organic by authorized control agencies, thus fulfilling strict conditions on how products were produced, processed, transported and stored.
