With 2015 as the deadline year of the MDGs, the world is preparing itself for the post-2015 sustainable agenda. It is envisaged that the new set of goals would be more feasible and supportable and a new term for such goals, coined during the 2012 Rio Summit (Rio+20), is already in use: Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
To coincide with the EYD2015 and the preparation for the post-2015 agenda, MEUSAC, in collaboration with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, organised a consultation session on the Communication by the European Commission on a ‘Global Partnership for Poverty Eradication and Sustainable Development after 2015’ (COM (2015) 44).
The session focused on the review of the new global partnership on sustainable development and the main purpose of this consultation was to gather insights and contributions from civil society and key NGDOs in the context of the document. In fact, the consultation session provided stakeholders with the opportunity to share their insights, ideas and opinions on the matter.
The session was held on April 29, 2015 at the MEUSAC offices in Valletta.
