The Malta-EU Steering and Action Committee (MEUSAC) and the Ministry for the Economy, Investment and Small Businesses (MEIB) organised a consultation session on legislative proposals regarding the European services e-card, a single digital gateway and the provision of information by undertakings and associations of undertakings.
Mr Philip Vella from the Ministry for the Economy, Investment and Small Businesses (MEIB) and Ms Glorianne Cini, also from MEIB gave a string of presentations, focusing on the European Commission’s Single Market Information Tool, the Single Digital Gateway, which aims to extend and integrate European and national portals to work towards a Single Digital Gateway to create a user-friendly information system for citizens and businesses, and on the European services E-Cards.
The services E-cards is a simplified electronic procedure that will make it easier for providers of business services.
Although ambitious, the launch of the Gateway is planned for 2020, according to Ms Cini.
The consultation session was held on Friday, October 27, 2017 at The Fortress Builders Fortifications Interpretation Centre in Valletta.
