This year’s SkolaSajf activities organised by MEUSAC and Europe Direct Valletta, kicked off on Tuesday, July 14 at Birżebbuġa, Naxxar and Mellieħa.
During this year’s activities themed, ‘My European Union’, participating children had the opportunity to learn more about what constitutes the European Union, its founding values, its culture and what identifies us as European citizens. Such information was intended to help the children familiarise themselves with the European Union and how its motto, ‘United in Diversity’ can be put into practice.
Through the use of various interactive media, children were able to understand better the meaning of the motto of the EU – United in Diversity. They were also guided on how to put the motto in practice and how to be active EU citizens by living the EU values in their everyday life.
This year, a mix of physical and online sessions were held with different SkolaSajf centres in Malta and Gozo. The sessions in Gozo were carried out in collaboration with Europe Direct Victoria, Gozo.
SkolaSajf is run by the Foundation for Educational Services within the Ministry for Education and Employment.
