Access to EU funding for social dialogue projects involving youths

Article published in Voice of the Workers Weekly

The Erasmus+ programme is the EU’s main funding instrument in the field of youth, supporting different interventions in the field of youth, including projects in democratic life at local, regional, national and EU levels.

A number of different activities can be supported under such projects, including debates, awareness-raising activities and workshops. Activities intended to consult youths on policy matters which impact them directly are strongly encouraged and can take different forms, such as vox-pops, focus groups or online surveys.

The direct involvement of youths in the development of the project activities as well as the implementation of the project is an important feature of this funding opportunity. To this end, applications can also be submitted by informal groups of youths.

Servizzi Ewropej f’Malta (SEM) can provide support with the application process, including assistance in the completion of application forms for EU funding. Guidance can also be provided during project implementation for a holistic service intended to make EU funding more accessible for local entities.
