SEM can assist social partners to access EU funding for social experimentation and social innovation projects

One of the functions of SEM as a government agency is to provide assistance to organisations to access EU funding and assist them in the implementation of their EU funded projects. Social partners are a key group of organisations that in the past have received assistance from SEM to access EU funding.
The Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI) funding strand of the European Social Fund+ programme follows four main policy priorities, namely: employment and skills; labour markets and mobility; social protection and active inclusion; and the improvement of working conditions.
Under projects financed through this funding strand, stakeholders can benefit from networking opportunities and capacity-building activities. The funding strand will also support ‘social policy experimentation’ which leads to more evidence-based policies, for instance through research activities.
