Europe Direct Valletta hosts Network of Networks meeting
SEM and Europe Direct Valletta brought together EU-related national contact points and information providers in Malta to discuss issues of common interest and to find ways of collaboration in reaching out to citizens and assisting them in their requests for information and enquiries on their rights, obligations, benefits and opportunities as European Union citizens.
During the meeting, participants held an open
discussion and shared experiences on how they provide information to persons
and entities and how they attend to requests for assistance they receive on a
day-to-day basis. Participants also discussed ways of further collaboration to
provide better EU-related services in Malta.
Participants hailed from the following entities:
Servizzi Ewropej f’Malta, Europe Direct Valletta, European Parliament Liaison
Office in Malta, European Employment Services, Malta Solvit Centre, European
Documentation Centre, International Relations Unit – Directorate for Social
Security, European Asylum Support Agency, Entitlement Unit – Ministry for
Health, Malta Council for Science and Technology, and European Union Programmes
Agency.
This was the third Network
of Networks meeting of this year, bringing together EU information providers
and national contact points to strengthen collaboration in the provision of
several different EU related services to EU citizens in Malta.
