Gozitan students visit SEM

On June 8, a group of students from the Gozo College, Rabat Primary School visited our premises as part of their day programme at Valletta. SEM officials provided the students with information about what the European Union, Malta as an EU Member State and how they can practise EU values in their daily lives.

At the end of the visit, each student was presented with an activity book about the European Union and a bamboo toothbrush as a token. Such token will make the students remember to take actions in their daily lives to reduce plastic consumption. Students were encouraged to change their daily habits in order to contribute to the reduction of single-use plastics.

During the scholastic year, several schools organise visits to our offices to learn more about the European Union. The activities that we organise for the students are adapted to the respective age group, so that they learn more about the benefits and opportunities of the European Union and how they can be active European citizens in their daily life.
