Promoting Improved Social Dialogue in Malta

SEM is currently implementing a project entitled, ‘Promoting Improved Social Dialogue in Malta’ (PRISM).

As part of the project, supported by Norway through the Norway Grants 2014-2021, in the frame of the Programme “Social Dialogue – Decent Work”, SEM has organised an online meeting with three Norwegian social partners to gain practical knowledge on the Norwegian model of tripartite dialogue.

During the session, three Norwegian social partners (The Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions; The Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise; The Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities) shared practical knowledge on the Norwegian model of tripartite dialogue.

Apart from members of staff of the Agency, members of MCESD and EESC were also present for this meeting.

As a result of the project, a report will be published to outline the current situation of social dialogue in both countries (Malta and Norway) and provide recommendations to improve social dialogue in Malta.
