#noħlomlixidarba storybook donated to Malta Libraries

Presentation ceremony held at the Central Public Library in Floriana

During a presentation ceremony held at the Central Public Library in Floriana, SEM CEO Mandy Falzon and the Minister within the Office of the Prime Minister, Carmelo Abela, donated copies of the recently published storybook, ‘#noħlomlixidarba’, to Head of Malta Libraries, Cheryl Falzon.

The copies of the storybook about the values of the European Union, published by SEM and Europe Direct Valletta serve to make the publication available for readers in all public libraries in Malta and Gozo.

Minister Abela spoke of the importance of disseminating factual information on the European Union to all ages. This publication addressed to 14-15 year olds helps youths to familiarise themselves with the values and opportunities they have as EU citizens, helping them to realise their dreams.

SEM CEO Mandy Falzon said that the book has been disseminated to all Year 10 and 11 students in State schools across Malta and Gozo, with the assistance of the Department of Education. The donation of books to the public libraries will widen the book’s dissemination and outreach to the intended target audience.

Ms Cheryl Falzon praised SEM for the excellent publication that will be added to the extensive collection of books found in public libraries. Ms Falzon also highlighted and lauded SEM’s initiative in producing a readable dyslexic-friendly book, making it one of the few accessible publications in Maltese on the local market for this age group.

Further information about the book and a digital version can be found here.

Hard copies of the book are available at SEM offices, 280 Republic Street, Valletta.
