The objective of this call for proposals is to facilitate the implementation of Maritime Spatial Planning (MSP) in the EU, including through the effective application of Directive 2014/89 establishing a framework for MSP. This call is intended to fund projects developing innovative responses to tackle specific challenges that EU Members States might encounter when putting into effect, monitoring and/or revising their maritime spatial plans.

Objective:

Central objective of the AISC is the transfer of advanced HPC-AI knowledge to the European AI user and developer communities. As a single access point to the most advanced European competences for large scale AI model development and training, the AISC will build on the existing service portfolio available to European communities, for example through digital innovation hubs, National Competence Centres for HPC or other national and European AI initiatives, with direct support for research, development and innovation in large-scale AI models where domain specific expert knowledge in AI and HPC is required.

SME Enhance (de minimis)

This scheme is funded through the European Regional Development Fund and will part-finance 50% of the eligible costs with a minimum funding amount of €10,000 and maximum funding amount of €120,000 per operation. Investments in Gozo will benefit from an additional 10% aid intensity.

Objective:

This scheme is funded through the European Regional Development Fund and will part-finance the project eligible costs with a minimum funding amount of €10,000 and maximum funding amount of €500,000 per operation. Applicants can apply for the purchase of new equipment and machinery along with ancillary items and costs for the leasing of privately owned operational premises for the duration of 2 years capped at 10% of eligible costs.

Objective:

This incentive seeks to support Start-ups through non-repayable Grants to part-finance investments in tangible and intangible assets contributing to potentially improve the productivity of the enterprise. This scheme is funded through the European Regional Development Fund and will part-finance 50% of the eligible costs with a minimum funding amount of €10,000 and maximum funding amount of €400,000 per operation. Investments in Gozo will benefit from an additional 10% aid intensity.

Business Reports for SMEs

Objective:

This Grant Scheme seeks to support SMEs through the provision of non-repayable Grants in the form of a lump sum to part-finance a business report procured from external Consultancy Service Providers which are registered with the IB and which are autonomous and unrelated to the Beneficiary Undertaking. External consultancy services shall be procured to support the decision-taking process, by providing:

  • Process and Systems Review aimed at rendering the Undertaking potentially more efficient; or
  • Business Plan addressing the proposed investment initiatives, aimed at rendering the Undertaking potentially more competitive.
