Priority 2 – Fostering Active Inclusion for All, Specific Objective 4.11, Equal access to quality social and healthcare services.

The main of this call is to support initiatives that focus on equal access to quality social and healthcare services. The ESF+ aims to support actions in multiple areas such as those that focus on the improvement and training for health professionals including in long-term care and disability, specialised training in child protection services, Child Guarantee initiatives, initiatives aimed at addressing children’s developmental/medical needs holistically and support for social partners and other NGOs within this sector, amongst others. Interventions will also be steered towards improving health and care services, including long-term care, social protection services and reduced health inequalities.

Scope:

The Prevention topic in the UCPM-2024-KAPP call is based on the Union Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM) legislation, which sets out the framework for disaster risk prevention and management at EU level. The specific priorities of this call include the following: Risk assessments, anticipation, and risk management planning, Risk awareness, and Early warning. Proposals should follow, to the extent possible, a multi-hazard approach, in line with the guiding principles of the Sendai Framework for disaster risk reduction 2015-2030. This general approach should also be reflected in cases of proposals with a focus on a single hazard.

Scope:

This topic aims to increase the overall preparedness of the UCPM and its stakeholders through activities that address ongoing and emerging issues of systemic relevance. Consortia composed of diverse disaster risk management actors are encouraged to work together across disciplines, sectors and geographical boundaries to identify and address preparedness needs of the UCPM in order to develop solutions that can be replicated or adapted by the UCPM community.

Full-scale exercises

Scope:

This call supports exercise projects aiming to design, plan, prepare, implement, conduct and evaluate different civil protection activities including a full-scale exercise in a multi-national scenario as the main event of the project. The scenario should simulate the situation and conditions of all types of disasters calling for the activation of the Mechanism, including the main theme and cross-cutting issues.

Virtual exchanges projects consist of online people-to-people activities that promote intercultural dialogue and soft skills development. They make it possible for every young person to access high-quality international and cross-cultural education without physical mobility. While virtual debating or training does not fully replace the benefits of physical mobility, participants in virtual exchanges ought to reap some of the benefits of international educational experiences.
