Priority 2 – Fostering Active Inclusion for All, Specific Objective 4.11, Equal access to quality social and healthcare services.

The main of this call is to support initiatives that focus on equal access to quality social and healthcare services. The ESF+ aims to support actions in multiple areas such as those that focus on the improvement and training for health professionals including in long-term care and disability, specialised training in child protection services, Child Guarantee initiatives, initiatives aimed at addressing children’s developmental/medical needs holistically and support for social partners and other NGOs within this sector, amongst others. Interventions will also be steered towards improving health and care services, including long-term care, social protection services and reduced health inequalities.

The main aim of this call is to facilitate the socioeconomic integration of TCNs, through initiatives steered by public entities and voluntary organisations. Interventions supported under the ESF+ will focus on the longer-term integration and inclusiveness of various vulnerable target groups, including TCNs. Within this context TCNs are being addressed in a targeted manner under this SO but also horizontally across the programme.

Scope:

With this call, diveded into 4 priorities, we aim at financing projects that will:

  • support the development of large-scale, integrated actions to combat gender-based violence and achieve long-term and structural changes with a wide geographical coverage
  • protect and support victims and survivors of gender-based violence, including children
  • prevent gender-based violence, in the domestic sphere, in intimate relationships, and online, including through targeted actions with perpetrators
  • make integrated child protection systems work in practice

Making available a high performing open-source European foundation model for fine-tuning

European large language foundation model: this action will co-fund activities involving a number of developers, to scale-up a well selected, open-source foundation model to be made available to EU industrial and public services users and to the AI developer community, ensuring coverage of all the official languages of the Member States as well as the most socially and economically relevant ones, thereby maximizing the impact within the bounds of the technology. This model will be eventually applicable to broader types of uses and applications.

AI in support of Quantum-Enhanced Metabolic Magnetic Resonance Imaging Systems

Metabolic MRI has the potential to provide information about changes in tissue metabolism which can precede macroscopic tissue changes seen with standard MRI. For example, this emerging technology can provide early detection of changes in tissue metabolism and fast feedback on treatment effectiveness, a crucial aspect of finding effective cancer therapy. The development of AI techniques for the analysis of quantum-enhanced metabolic MRI images could substantially enhance the capabilities of this new technology, transforming the process into a more automated, personalised and efficient one.
