SEM participates in EU Careers Talk

EU Careers talk organised by University of Malta Student Ambassadors and JEF

On February 28, Servizzi Ewropej f’Malta (SEM) was invited to participate in a panel organised by the EU Careers Student Ambassadors at the University of Malta for students to learn more about EU Career Opportunities as part of a series of talks organised by the student organisation, JEF.

This event was aimed at providing attendees with information about career opportunities in the EU institution, focusing on traineeship opportunities and how students can prepare themselves for a prospective EU Career. During the event, attendees had the opportunity to hear first-hand the experience of the two Maltese Officials from the European Commission and European Parliament, as they explained how they navigated their first steps in building a career in the EU institutions. They also provided some tips and words of encouragement to those present.

As SEM, officials present provided technical information on the different traineeships offered by the EU institutions, focusing on the application and selection procedure. Furthermore, those in attendance were provided with examples of past trainees from different academic backgrounds and how they built their EU Career starting with a traineeship.
